WAYAN (World Starts with Me Youth Advocacy Network)

 WHO WE ARE

The World Starts with Me Youth Advocacy Network(WAYAN) is a national youth advocacy network made up of Alumni of the World Starts with Me(WSWM). The WSWM is a school based programme which has been implemented in Kenya since 2006. The ICT based programme aims at improving the capacity of young people to respond to the challenges associated with the transitional from adolescence to adulthood. It uses innovative approaches that facilitate youth participation, promote responsible behaviour and are youth centered. As an advocacy network,WAYAN advocates at policy and community level for enhanced access to comprehensive sexual reproductive health information and services for young people. WAYAN establishes linkages at provincial, national and international level for SRH (Sexual Reproductive Health) advocacy by working with partners, policy makers and other stakeholders to improve SRHR concerns in Kenya. WAYAN are advocates for youth in Kenya.                  

VISION

A society which the sexual reproductive health and rights , including choices and responsibilities of young people are realized.             

 MISSION

WAYAN seeks to advocate for the promotion and implementation of policies that support the promotion of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights of young people.
